HISTORY

1969

Bridgewater Youth Soccer is organized as a Fall League for boys between ages 8 and 12. The first 4 teams are the Hustlers, Sparks, Wolves, and Celtics. Games are played on a soccer field at lower Legion field that runs from the Skate Park through the Stonedust Field.

1970

BYSA grows to 60 Players

1971

Soccer is introduced as a Boys Varsity sport at B-R. Their Home soccer field is at Scotland Field, where the parking lot now stands.

1971

BYSA grows to 80 players.

1972

BYSA expands to include girls ages of 8 to 12.

1973

BYSA adds its first travel teams to compete in the BAYS Spring Travel League. boys and girls in the U10, U12, and U14 age groups. Players were selected from the Fall program and teams were entered into the BAYS Spring Travel League.
